Ok this is getting good. the ship that Roxy is on (Trianon) is already just about within view of the east coast, to land in GA on Tuesday. back on schedule to land at port hueneme on the 15th of december! I might get a pre-xmas delivery! my fingers are crossed.
also made some changes to my website. set it up with a whole bunch of mini links, docs and instructions. follow the handy links link to the left and check it out!
Not really sure, but this could be close. delivery to port Hueneme has changed from 12/15 to 12/17. that makes only 8 days from port to dealer, and while that is, at most, a 7 hour drive, i have a funny feeling that it will probably take longer than that. but, i am still hopeful for a pre-xmas delivery.
in other news, some folks are going to do a scenic run in san diego on december 7th. I was really hoping that Roxy would have come in sooner, but she isn’t. I’m thinkin about tagging along in the rat mobile, just hanging out way in the back. at least I’d get a chance to meet some of my neighborhood miniacs!
I also think that I have found a host, for now. cheap, lots of disk space and traffice with cf support. watch soon…
Yikes! no posts for over a week? well, I have been busy. anyway, here’s what’s up…
Roxy has been built! WooHoo! Birthday of November 20th. Not only that, but she has also been loaded up on a ship bound for port here in CA on or about 12-15. I’m still holding out for a pre-xmas delivery!
Even took a moment tonight to stop by Crevier MINI and poke around. they had a few black and white MC’s, and they kinda look like baby cop cars, without the light rack. found out too that I can get the slick factory driving lights installed for around $900 ($400 for parts, and the rest is labor). sounds expensive, but from what I have read, it looks like a pretty invoved job that would probably fall out of my range of skills. I’m going to have to look at that again. while I was there I also meet a nice guy (who’s name escapes me at the moment) who offered to take over where Darnell left off. he seemed pretty ok, hopefully he treat me right.
More changes coming soon. working on FINALLY setting up my own domain, instead of leaching off the free, pop-up laded service. I’m going to try to find a host that will support CF too, so that I can get those skills warmed up again. watch for yet another redesign to go with the new site. Hopefully the blog will transfer over well…
According to the MINI owner’s lounge, Roxy should be built this week! that means hopefully on a boat next week and on her way home! This will be the longest month that I can remember! I know they are building Roxy correctly because all of the options are finally listed! BRG w/leatherette, white roof, mirror caps and wheels, sport and premium package! I can’t wait!
Comments OffYea, I know, no posts for a while…so sue me! but, i do have good news to report…it is now offcially offical…Roxy is scheduled for production, and i even have a VIN number! This is getting to be quite exciting! I can’t wait until December…
