another update
after driving the distance to las vegas today, I was finally able to make it into orange county. Found out that the stuff for the bank could take until NEXT thursday! ugh, that was not good news. Went to Crevier today and talked to my guy again. They don’t have any MCS’s on the lot, but I did take the demo MC out again. I forgot just how nice the MC drives! So, I have decided to go the MC route instead of the MCS route. As it happens, MC’s are easier to come by, and Crevier has a real nice VR/W package 1, 2, 3 and leather ready to go right now! It doesn’t have the Xenon’s or the H/K, but I’ll make due. It’s a real pretty car! Best part is the price; only $750 over MSRP and they are throwing in the floor mats! Can’t be beat. After explaining my current situation with my guy, he also suggested that I pick a back up, in case the VR/W sells. They have 2 Black Coopers, both with the full ground effects kits and BBS 17″ wheels, one has the sport pack, and 1 doesn’t. I of course choose the one with the sport pack! Price is right on either of these too. Now, just have to wait for the bank. I really hope that I do not have to wait until next Thursday to actually get my car. I’ll go broke by then!

an update
Okay, got calls yesterday from both Irvine and Crevier MINI. Irvine called first to tell me that they sold the car I wanted. dang (I was really diggin’ the leather and H/K). Then Christian at Crevier called to follow up. I’m stopping there today. Here’s my dilema; I really want an S. I don’t think I’d be happy with a Cooper, especially since I’ve spent some time behind the wheel of an S and Crevier doesn’t have any MCS’s available at this time, while Irvine has 3 BRG MCS’s (1 brg/w, 2 brg/b). I also have to get my paper work to the bank. I’m really hoping to have a car today, I’m still just not sure which car I’m going to have.

More later, hopefully with a MINI in my driveway!

  • the blue pills DO NOT work! Don’t listen to anyone that try to tell you otherwise
  • the nigerian banking system scheme has gone out of business, so I am unable to try it

    MINI Update
    I haven’t been able to post for a few days due to problems that were not my own. ANYWAY…

    My guy from Crevier never called me back about the dealer transfer. I tried to call him, but was passed into another salesmans voice mail. Ok then, back to Irvine. Stopped at Irvine on Friday to make sure that the MINI I wanted was still there, it was. The specs:

  • brg/w, silver S-Lites
  • sport & premium packs
  • Leather
  • H/K Stereo
    I’m not really liking the lads at Irvine too much. first of all they won’t hold the car for me, not even for as little as 5 days. 2nd, they won’t let me buy the car unless I have all of the money, or they will run my credit to allow me a week, so that’s out. 3rd, they wear ties. everyone of the guys that I have met at Irvine MINI are wearing ties. That tells me that they are BMW Salesmen, not MINI Motoring Advisors (I don’t care what their business cards say). I definitely won’t be getting service done there, but at Crevier instead (Irvine BMW has been around for less than 10 years, Crevier is one of the first BMW dealers in the US). I’m hoping to get the final approval from the bank tomorrow, and hoping that the MINI will still be Irvine when I get there. I will be calling today to see if it sold yesterday. More when it becomes available.
