road trip
it would seem that everyone is taking long road trips these days. maybe this is something I should do. I could go to texas and have lunch with a dear friend, hang out with the Denver crew, get up to chicago and meet the great folks up that way and maybe even make it to NE for a ride in charro. I don’t know, just need to do something extraordinarily different.

JC is back from his 4800 mile roadtrip and there are a TON of really cool pics to check out.

Got my invite for the Crevier Rally today too. Ortega Highway run. good thing it’s an early start time.

intake update
first full tank of gas (where I actually checked the mileage) and my results are:
304.3 miles
11.2 gallons
27.2mpg

that a mix of slow traffic, freeway and just plain ol driving fast ’cause it sounds so cool! I would imagine that once I’m used to it, I’ll stop hot rodding (maybe) and mpg will come back up to over 30. I’ll report back on the tank after next.

more new stuff
Tracy just finished using Langka for the first time. she says that she can’t even tell where she touched up her paint! Also easy to apply, although not as easy as they say. She gave it 5 stars out of 5. Langka is applied after touch up paint to help smooth it out and make it look right.

Also, should have access to a complete write-up on the schroth racing harness installation pretty soon, hopefully with pics. I’ll link as soon as it’s done.

SoCal upcoming events:
Crevier’s first MINI rally is coming up towards the end of September. If you purchased from them, expect an invite by the end of the week.
SCMM has another event coming up in September! should be able to get some good pics out of this one.
Also, still have track day coming up in October. There is still space left, but you’d better hurry! Let me know if you are interested!
