need a car wash?
I’m sure that most of you out there, especially J/C (see comments below) are in dire need of a car wash.
If you are in Orange County, CA, I have a recommendation, especially if you can hold off until tomorrow. check out Beacon Bay Auto Washes. Yea, I know I work for them, but tomorrow is special. For every car that gets washed on Saturday, November 1st, we are going to donate $1.00 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation!
You think this is pretty cool but don’t live in OC? No sweat, I’ve got you covered! this is actually a nationwide program with Car Washes all over participating. You can find the closest to you here. the organization is called washes for wishes and last year donated more than $100,000 to the Make-A-Wish foundation.
For those of you concerned about pushing your car through a car wash tunnel, don’t sweat. I was Roxy at least twice a week at the car wash and haven’t had any problems with the finish or anything getting torn off or falling off.
Besides, it’s for a good cause.
Also, having dinner with a friend last night and I found out about this which is just interesting enough for me to share.
time to wash your car
Ok gang, if you are in SoCal and haven’t yet washed all the soot and ashes off of your car, now is the time to do it! The last thing that you want to happen is for rain water to get on your paint with all that muck. It’s quite acidic when wet and will pit your paint! You need to make sure that you’ve gotten all of the fire materials off of your car, which means a real wash with soap, water and soft towels.

Also, was going to try out Moveable Type, but just got the word that my host has banned it’s, plus a few others, use. Oh well.
and it rained this morning. No, not more ash falling from the sky, but honest to goodness water! And it’s FINALLY cooler too! this should be a big help to those fighting the fires.
