I was just out crusing tonight and came across a HUGE gallery of photos from the last LB MINI Poker Rally. I do mean a huge gallery.
Washed Roxy today for the first time since she was Maguiar’ed, and it’s amazing how good she looks! She has never looked this good after just a car before!
Saw a bunch of MINI’s in OC today too. CR MC on East Bound Hwy. 74 followed by an IB MCS not long after. I was then passed by a PW MCS heading west on Hwy. 74. Saw a few on the toll road today (Hwy. 73) and just cruising around near the airport also! Nice when that happens.
Did I mention I’m diggin the Yokohama’s?
Are you looking for something on dbmini.us and just can’t seem to find it? let me know and I’m sure I can help you out.
And, new brake pads getting installed Saturday morning. I’ll be sure to report back after the fact, but it looks fairly straightforward and I’m not expecting any hassles!
Not that most of you are really interested, but I ended up on the mailing list for Heritage Garage in Costa Mesa.
They have some cool pics, plus all of the classic Mini parts you could possibly need.
Also worth checking out, should you be in the market for a Classic Mini is The Mini Guy in Ventura. He had a White with VR roof for a while that was really cool.
Wow! Everyone was right! Ordered last Friday the front set of EBC Greenstuff pads, and brown delivered them today. Quite impressive to say the least. Those will be installed this weekend.
Also, readjusted tire pressure for everyday driving up to 36 all the way around. Seems to provide the right level of ride and handling for everyday use. And I’m really enjoying these Yoko’s so far (almost 1K miles on them). Don’t think I’m going to put the Pirelli’s on after all. Anyone interested in buying them? Would make an awesome set of spare tires for everyday use. let me know if you are interested.
If you haven’t seen this on Bridger’s site yet…
Dave Bunting had the opportunity to visit the California BMW VDC at Port Hueneme.

Roxy was Meguiar’ed today. Just had to do it. Here’s what I used…
I started off washing her with NXT Car Wash Soap. Works great, rinses clean and almost complete!
Next up was some of the Deep Crystal Step #2 Polish for the boot and bonnet. I’ve been using this for almost a year, and it’s easier than a clay bar.
Then I used the brand new NXT Tech Wax. WOW! Easy on, easy off and the shine is out of this world!
Followed with some Gold Class Metal Restore on the chrome bits and wheels and then Hot Shine Tire dressing on all the tires and lower plastic trim.
Naturally cleaned all the glass with Stoners Invisible glass.
About the new Meguiar’s NXT products. I love ‘em! I’ve used Meguiars products since I’ve had a car, but this stuff is the best by far. Especially the Tech Wax & #2 Polish.
Here is how Roxy looked after I was finished…

Watch for the NXT products to start hitting stores soon, or you can get more information from Meguiars.com
