Got an email from Todd the other day. Seems he is going out to Phil Wicks Ultimate MINI Driving Acamdemy. Jealous? Oh you bet! Especially since I don’t have anything on the books until August for track time. I am still going to try to get out for a midweek session with one of the outfits list on the side.
Gabe already posted this, but I heard about it when it happened…Brad managed to score some photos of a Hot Orange MCS Cabriolet! Check it out! I love the color too. I also am going to have to say that the overall appeal of the drop top MINI is really starting to get me excited. While I don’t think I could actually drive it everyday, I wouldn’t complain if there happened to be one parked in my driveway!
More pics to prove it really happened! Regina posted some of hers here.
Next event is still a month away. Think it’s time I play hookey for the day and sneak out for a day on the track, maybe.

Can you believe it? A bunch of SCMM members drove up to Idylwild today. Some really cool roads out through the badlands of the IE, through Anza up to Hwy 74 between Indio and Idylwild.
In Idylwild, Joann’s restaurant cleared out their whole place just for us, and save us parking! We had the joint completely surrounded with MINI’s! Caused the biggest traffic jam in Idylwild too I’m sure!
We have a bite and everyone is catching up. And it starts to rain. Then hail. The snow! No kidding! It was awesome! Of course, being the bunch of SoCall sissy drivers we are, we got outta dodge pretty quick before the roads got too slick. I only wish I had gotten more pictures.
If you have some shots of the snow, let me know and I can post them here!

Not sure about any of you, but if this MINI can go 200 miles on a charge at 60-70MPH, I’d be all over it like a bum on a ham sandwich! Especially with the rumors of $3.00 per gallon fuel prices coming up this summer.
This just in…

I also know that there are shops in Texas and a new one in the Midwest someplace. I’m sorry that I don’t remember the names. If you do, leave a comment to let us know!
