The San Diego Chapter of BMW CCA run AutoX a few times a year down at Qualcomm stadium. I actually went down there today to check it out:
Having not done this before, I thought it would be a great idea to first check it out and see what it was all about. I thought it would be confusing to navigate the course through a bunch of little orange cones, but that does not appear to be the case at all. Very clear on where you need to go, and where you don’t want to.
I think I’m going to have to give this a go. Besides, at $40 for the day, it’s way cheaper than a weekend at the track.

1 commentAs I mentioned in a previous post, dbmini.us will be changing over to the WordPress system.
I expect to start the change around 12:00PST, so if things look a bit strange, wait a minute, refresh and everything will be back to normal. I don’t expect the switch over to take more than a few minutes.
Affected functionality
–Comments – Will not be as they are now. Also, all current comments will be lost. I will try to import them at a later time.
–RSS feed – The current RSS feed will no longer be available. If you are using are linking to the rssify.php file, it too will no longer be available. I will be posting the new RSS feed as soon as the switch is complete.
Affected pages
This upgrade will affect the main dbmini.us page, the gallery page and handy links. If you have bookmarked any of these pages, you will have to update them. I will post the correct URI’s after the switch as well.
The site will still look and navigate the same, so don’t worry about that!
I will update again once the upgrade is complete.
Not sure if you have checked this out yet, but BMW Films has continued with The Hire series. This time though, they have partnered with Dark Horse Comics and create the next 6 ‘episodes’ in Comic Book Form.
Just as each of the films is directed by a different top director, each issue of The Hire will be a stand-alone story by a different top creator or creative team. First up: Matt Wagner, the creator of Grendel and Mage.
It would appear that the first two are not quite ready for purchase yet. Keep an eye on darkhorse.com. You can pre-order the first episode now, or find your nearest retailer.
