So, being one to jump on bandwagons, plus having a small interesting in radio, I have decided to try my hand at putting together a podcast.
You might be asking yourself; “Self, what is a podcast?” I could go into a long ramble here about them, but this from the Wikipedia is a little better:
Podcasting is a method of publishing files to the internet, often allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive new files automatically
In other words, it’s an RSS feed for audio.
You can use the newest version of iTunes or a program called iPodder (Win/Mac/Linux version available) to subscribe to the already thousands of podcasts available. Everything from ESPN to some local talk radio shows to the latest gear at Engadget. There are other programs, but these will get you started.
Well, might as well get started before I change my mind. I present to you, my very first first podcast. Just a short tour of my site to get started. Future episodes will have real information, I promise!
Go easy. It’s the first one. Of course, any input or critisism you may have is greatly appreciated!
I will post here with updates on ipodder and iTunes compatibility. Or, just click the link above. If you are podcast-savvy already, just go ahead and subscribe
Update – iPodder grabs the subscribtion. I have also publised to iTunes and will post back when it goes live there../update

(7) commentsSince Ian has already shared his, I thought I would take a moment to share what is currently in my player. Granted it’s not the big monster terabyte ‘Keg’ he’s rockin’ in GBMINI 3, but it works for my daily 2 hour commute.
update…Turns out I wasn’t ‘playing’ correctly. Favorites in bold, plus I have added some notes…/update. The ‘short’ version… (list date 06/28/2005)
Yea, that’s about it for this load. There are a few others, but it’s just more jazz or single tracks that I got to lazy to list :).
Something that looks good to you? Just about every one of these albums is available at the iTMS or your favorite Windows Music Store.
How about a sample of what’s in your player? iPod, CD or otherwise. Just post it in the comments!
(8) commentsI’m sure you’ve noticed Roxy not being present in most of the pics from Saturday’s event. Well, instead of spending the morning making her as beautiful as I possible, I instead installed my Aux Port Adapter.
Installation went pretty well, but I will say I had some help from…
I went with the under-the-center-console install location, as I do not have a Euro Parcel Shelf (yet) and the glove box is just too inconvenient.
If you haven’t done this yet, as everyone says, it’s easy! The aux adapter literally plugs into the back of your OEM head unit (’03′s and newer). One thing that wasn’t mentioned anywhere that I saw is that I did have to pry the dash up (under the speedo) to get the downtubes out of the way enough to access the head unit screws. Once I figured that out, piece of cake. The official install guide says 30 minutes, but I think, including drilling, it only takes about 15.
So far, sound quality is great, even at freeway speeds (which is saying alot) through my newest toy, the Creative Zen Micro:

Volume controls on the MFSW work as the should, so does the Mode selector. I only wish I could control the tracks using the steering wheel, but I’m not going to complain.
As I heard on Saturday, “it’s about time you got digital in Roxy db!”. Yea, well, ok. I did it, so there.
(11) commentsThe Gallery is up for last nights SCMM Night at the Races II.
I’ve also added a few more blog header images from last nights set, as well as a new desktop image.
MINI’s on the Figure 8
Karin on the M-I-C!
The Brad and The Lad set to go!
Lugnut doing some smokey burnouts
You can see the whole gallery here.
Please note there is no longer a header graphic at the galleries. This is by design and there is nothing wrong. I just thought it was too distracting from the images.
Comments OffYet again, SCMM members got together to spend a night at Irwindale Speedway for some showin’ off and race watchin’!

43 MINI’s running at ‘chaparroned’ speeds on the figure 8 track to start the nights festivities, followed by some truck racing, some car racing and, of course, the figure 8 race featuring once again Jesse James.
It was another great event. Highly recommend getting out to watch if you ever get the chance.
Full gallery will get posted tomorrow. I’m beat!
