For your listening pleasure, I am proud to announce PodCast #6…
Notes:Show -Gabe isn’t talking through a toilet paper tube. -’06 pricing -How do get be a test driver for BMW? -Call them horseshoe wheels -Gabe thinks liquid yellow is too Ikea. -db is the only one that likes Solid Gold, kinda. -Black is back. -Dealers using Motoringfile -The PodCast drinking game -No Recaro seats, but add a schroth harness and it’s not needed, we think. -MF comments are entertaining -Todd needs to update his bookmarks -db doesn’t know what German money is called
Notes:Other -I mentioned this in the ‘cast, but the new domain, whiteroofradio.com will hopefully be going live with #7. I’ll post here again, but a keep an eye out this week for the next episode topic and possibly some cool listener interaction (or, intervention, depending on how it’s going). Also, I will be moving all of the podcasts and show notes to that site so I can resume my personal stuff and silly news.
-The quality is about as good as I could get it without clipping. We are still tweaking the technology to make this as good as possible, but sometimes the technology doesn’t want to co-operate. We do appreciate your patience as we get the details hammered out.
One more time, and extra special super duper thanks to Gabe Bridger for being our guest this week (and not sounding like Mickey Mouse on helium) :)
We will cover Dealer service in a future episode. Sorry for the change up.
I know this is an on going issue with many of you, but it’s totally out of control for me. It must be all of the construction going on here in the hot CA real estate market, but my windscreen is totally thrashed!
I currently have a long crack going from the drivers side to about 8″ in towards the middle. Odd, it looks like a stress crack, but it was caused by a rock. Also, as of yesterday, I know have 4 chips and/or stars on the windscreen.
I would mind so much if this was my first, but it’s not. My current windscreen has only been installed for like 9 months, and I have to replace it again.
Anyone else have this problem. Not so much with the stess cracks, but an inordinate amount of chips from flying rocks? Or, am I the only one?
Huge server outage yesterday might have caused some of you to not get the feed.
I’m looking into why it happened, but in the meantime, feel free to again resume the downloads!
Like a podcasting machine we are…actually, just trying to keep you interested and listening.
Notes
- We are not Zaino haters…really!
- We both live in the middle of nowhere
- We will try to keep the podcasts shorter
- Todd is a mac guy, db on windows…who’s the bigger geek?
- Sunday’s episode review…Dealer service and Gabe with the news (no, really)
- Our first *easter egg*. No, you have to listen to the whole thing. I will tell you that it is past the end…just listen
- New domain, new features for the podcast, new features on dbmini and other geek-type stuff
Thanks again for listening gang! Comments or questions leave them here in the show note comments or email us at radio (at) dbmini (dot) us.
Todd and I are at it again! #5 is ready for your download pleasure.
update…I was experiencing problems with the feed. If you tried to download with iPodder or iTMS and it didn’t work, please try again…/update
Topic: Car care/detailing Notes:
-Meguiars.com -Zaino -Discussion about polish, wax, clay bar and auto wash soap -Do not eat or drink car care products -Next week’s special guest (oh no, you have to listen) -New features for the podcast
I missed Acetone. After careful consideration, not such a great idea since the chrome on our cars is actually chromed plastic, not chrome metal. So, ignore that part.
Since we covered such a broad topic, we did go a little long (47:31). We both re-listened and we think we covered a lot of ground and it went well. Next time, we’ll split the broad topics into multiple episodes…or not. Let us know what you think!
Next week’s topic will be about Dealer service. Comments or short stories? send them to us at radio (at) dbmini (dot) us
