Just turned 100K, right? Roxy has been running strong as ever. Especially since it’s been cooling down here in California, she really loves opening up on some of the twistier roads for a quick romp.
So this must be the time for the weird stuff to start going wrong. I currently have 1 burned out headlamp (I’ll be replacing that this week) and yesterday I went to turn on the A/C and warm air came out. I thought it was odd because when I hit the switch I didn’t the regular shudder/stumple when stopped at a light that I normally get.
I hope it just needs a recharge. I’ll keep you posted.

The MINI USA/FTR made its drag strip debut at the NHRA Sport Compact World Finals at the Pomona Raceway in Pomona, California this past weekend. In its inaugural run the car posted an impressive time of 12.54 seconds for the Quarter Mile with a top speed of 115.79 miles per hour making it the world’s quickest MINI in the quarter mile.

(7) comments…or finally the price of gas goes down
As most everyone else is saying, the price of gas is dropping. Quite a bit this week in fact. Monday I paid $3.03. Today a gallon of the good stuff is $2.89 – $2.93 almost everywhere.
It’s about time!
Anyone think there is a chance of sub-$2.00 prices again?

Crevier MINI held their Rally on Sunday. I actually went and snapped a few pictures. Since I’m in Texas at the moment, you get the verbal report.
They did a photo scavenger hunt this year. Every MINI was placed into a team that had 5-6 total, one with nav. The object was to hit as many of the locations on your teams list in the time allotted. Bonus points were given for pictures of random items. The more points received, the more raffle tickets you received which was more chances at winning more swag.
Anyway, it was fun and I should have some photos posted this coming weekend.
