Have you ever noticed that every car on the road looks better painted the color of your MINI? This is something I’ve noticed. Some examples…
Of course, I’m sure I’m biased toward the lovely maroon color, but I’ve seen cars painted other MINI colors that just. Look. Awesome. Well, except for that lime green Beetle, which is the closest color I’ve seen to Silk Green. Only the MINI looks good in that color. Especially with a white roof!
(6) commentsI realized tonight that I haven’t geeked out in a while.
Lets go to the logs!!!!!
It has recently come to my attention that many visitors to dbmini are not running the most up-to-date versions of your web browser. I can’t name names, but there are quite a few of you windows users that are still running:
While I am sure you have your reasons for not upgrading (you poor souls still on Windows 95, I understand), this is something you should take care of sooner than later.
If you are running Windows NT 4.0, 98, 98SE, ME, 2000 or XP, and insist on using Internet Explorer, you really should upgrade to version 6.0 with all updates and patches.
If you are one of the few, the proud, the Netscape 4.x users, what are you doing? I can’t even begin to image how painful your surfing experience must be as I’m pretty sure that even dbmini doesn’t render quite right. Really, time to upgrade.
And all of you Firefox users should be taking advantage of the newest features (and bug fixes) in version 1.5.
Not sure what version you have? On any browswer, click on Help –> About. It will tell you right there.
Ready to upgrade? Follow the links below: Internet Explorer Upgrade Mozilla
Or, as I’m sure someone will point out, Just get a Mac. :)
(14) commentsSure you’ve been to the MINIUSA.com configurator and built out that ‘dream’ MINI.
Ever wonder what a dealer might charge for that car? Well my friends, wonder no more.
Crevier MINI has a car on the lot, right now, with EVERY JCW option and H/K, plus a few others. You can see the full specs here. Be sure you are sitting down before you click, because the price is listed there too.
I’d mention it here, but you know what they say, if you have to ask…
(8) commentsMark in the UK has started a MINI blog.
Right now I’m still learning to drive, well taking driving tests really but that’s a story for another time, so I’m still some way off getting myself a MINI. I guess in some ways that’s a good thing. I suppose it gives me some time to save up for one but even explaining things that way doesn’t make me want one right now any less. I’m thinking about starting some kind of fund and having a donation button online but I’m not sure about that one yet. Next time I’ll post about what kind of MINI I actually want but that’s all I have for now.

(2) commentsThe new site and schedule are finally ready!

The Phil Wicks Racing North American Mini Cooper Championship Race Series will begin in March, 2006, with the first event scheduled at Las Vegas Super Speedway on March 25. The series will consist of at least 6 races with three in the western US and three in the east.
You can get more infomation at minidriving.com.
Is anyone going to try to run the series this season?
