But this guy has put together a nice collection of MINI ads. Always fun to check out.
My favorites are still the tread marks around the giant cones in the mall and the MINI in a cage. Oh yea, and this one here too.
I certainly hope the new company comes up with something as clever. Need to trump those VW ads!
1 commentI have to buy gas today. Not really looking forward to it since I will be paying no less than $3.41 for each gallon.
It’s the Truffle oil and saffron they put in it. You know, the ‘special’ California blend.
That is all.
(6) commentsHave you seen this yet? Very very cool.
For the last few years, BMW and University of Bath have been hard at work on the CLEVER — a compact fuel-efficient vehicle for city driving. As the name — Compact Low Emission Vehicle for Urban Transport — suggests, the aim of the project was to create a vehicle that was practical, safe, and environmentally-friendly. If it ever makes it to production, the vehicle is expected to cost around $10,000 and would have a top speed of 50 mph
A very similiar concept to the Dutch Carver, except the BMW version runs on CNG and is expected to get over 160MPG!

1 commentI got this email today. Surprisingly, it didn’t go into my junk folder….
I read your blog and noticed that you’re a Mini enthusiast, so I wanted to let you know about a fun text-messaging game we’re running. Basically, my company (Limbo 41414, www.41414.com) is auctioning off a new Mini convertible to the LOWEST UNIQUE bidder. We recently sold a Hummer H3 (quite the opposite of the Mini) for $36.65! It’s good fun and something that your friends and blog readers might have fun playing. To play, text MINI to 41414 on your cell phone, and instructions will come back to you. I know it may sound too-good-to-be-true, but it’s not; we make our money from the phone networks who share their text messaging revenue with us. Take a look at our website (www.41414.com) to learn more.
So, I checked it out. They have a MINI Cooper Cabrio to give away and a plasma TV. You are allowed to bid 10 times per day and from what I can tell, you have to have a unique bid to actually get it posted. I thought it was fun and was a pretty ok way to kill about 10 minutes (today). Of course I’ll try tomorrow.
Oh yea, don’t do something silly and try to bid $30. That’s too high ( ! ) and they won’t accept it.
(9) commentsHas anyone else noticed a larger number of Infiniti FXs on the road lately? Don’t worry, I won’t be offended if you call it a stink bug. I already do! I’m thinking Explorer/Expedition/Suburban/Tahoe/[insert large SUV name here] drivers have downsized/upgraded recently.
And took their crappy driving habits with them!
I have been cut off so many times this week by these drivers. Or watched as they almost hit another car because the call they are on is so important. Oh yea, they also like to slam on their brakes in the middle of the highway.
Consider this your warning. They are out there gang, just do what you can to stay clear!
