Yep yep. Check it out:
This year, the IRL takes a baby step, mixing in 10 percent ethanol into the traditional, carbon-based methanol, which burns much the same as ethanol but is made from a nonrenewable source. Next year, these open-wheel cars will run on 100 percent ethanol.
From this article.
100% next year? Now that I’m going to have to see.
How seriously disappointing that GM would actually think to do something like this:
DETROIT (AP): Aiming to capitalize on U.S. consumer angst about the high cost of gasoline, General Motors Corp. on Tuesday said it would cap pump prices at $1.99 (euro1.55) for customers in California and Florida who buy certain vehicles by July 5.
Of course you have to get onStar. Of course this program is only available for the gas-guzzlingest vehicles the General sells.
Please tell me that you, or anyone you know, isn’t this stupid. Please?
Woke up Saturday to go run some errands and guess what? Yea, the dreaded airbag light is back (I’ll post a pic later).
Anyone else out here…
- Have this problem?
- Have had it fixed?
- You know, whatever
Sometimes I feel like the only one on this stuff. sheesh.
Hey gang, be sure to listen out for this weeks show. Y’all know I don’t usually pimp those here, but this one turned out especially well. We managed to get Randy Webb on again the night before the Chicago Pulley Party, which is right before the last Cinci Pulley Party.
Oh yea, check Monday for #63. We go really long with Randy and had a great time talking to him! Don’t worry, I’ll link back to both shows once they are posted!
Going through and doing a little clean up.
I find this post:
I decided against any parting last night, so I was able to wake up this morning, bright and early, and take Roxy for a real ‘drive’ over the Ortega Hwy. For those of you unfamiliar with the Ortega Hwy, it is a major west-east route that connects southeastern riverside county with orange county, california. From Lake Elsinore to San Juan Capistrano it is roughly 26 miles, but the best parts are the 15 miles from Lake Elsinore to the ranger station. And, it went a little something like this…
Ah yea, the day after bringing Roxy I home, aka the early morning Ortega Highway bombing run. It’s not dragon, but I still had a good time!
You can read the full post here. Maybe one day soon I’ll get to do this road in an S once again???
Stay Tuned…
