I think you have seen this

Another break from the MTTS Coverage…

Anyway, have you seen thisyet?

A British engineering firm has put together a high-performance hybrid version of BMW’s Mini Cooper. The PML Mini QED has a top speed of 150 mph, a 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds. The car uses a small gasoline engine with four 160 horsepower electric motors — one on each wheel. The car has been designed to run for four hours of combined urban/extra urban driving, powered only by a battery and bank of ultra capacitors. The QED supports an all-electric range of 200-250 miles and has a total range of about 932 miles (1,500 km). For longer journeys at higher speeds, a small conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) is used to re-charge the battery. In this hybrid mode, fuel economies of up to 80mpg can be achieved.

Yes, you read that correctly. A 4 engined MINI with some impressive performance numbers AND it’s electric/gas hybrid?

When we they stop teasing us with these cars?

Gabe should really be here for this

Cocktail induced brainstorming begins. We stand in a triangle, pull out the Razrs (yes, all 3 of us had the same phone) and do the following: (Read on…)

MTTS Coverage in full swing!

MTTS.pngFor those of you that have been stuck under a rock for the last week and didn’t know, MINI Takes the States starts this coming Monday!

I’ve spoken to some of the new GP Owners and the excitement about this event is great!

What? You can’t go? Not a problem…

  • We will have regular updates over at WRR and Motoringfile
  • Ian is posting pictures as fast as he can take them!
  • There are some flickr groups…Todd is posting (here too), so is Brian from the Fireballed! team and J/C is going, so you know he’ll post some too! Oh yea, and the MTTS Group is there too.
  • I will also be blogging a bit over on the Fireballed! site with updates from Fireball Tim himself and his team

If you happen to be going along on day 2, be sure to stop by and say hi to Todd and myself hanging out in Barstow at the SCMM Pitstop (and maybe Vegas!).

Man I’m cool!

Like I had to tell you that. ;)

But seriously, thanks to Hubie and Brian up at the Fireballed! shop, who made Roxy look like this:

I now, once again, have AIR CONDITIONING! WOOHOO!

Of course, Roxy had to be hooked up to this contraption first:

To recharge the system, which now blows at a nice and cool 55F/13C.

Ok, now it’s time for a new windshield!
