Racers Wanted had to cancel the track event they had planned for AMVIV weekend at Pahrump Motorsports Ranch.
I’m sorry to have to inform you all that we will have to cancel the event for March 24th and 25th. We weren’t able to get enough drivers to sign up in time to confirm enough drivers for the event. We had a lot who signed up but had to cancel due to personal problems or cars not available. All drivers who have paid will get a refund by the end of this week.

I can’t recommed strongly enough going out with this group if you get the chance. I’ve run with them in the past more than once and they put on a great event with great instructors. Also, if you want the chance to run Pahrump again, they will be out there the following weekend with the Audi club. It’s a great track and well worth going if you can!

Finally!
Got some seat time in an R56. Lightning Blue with that rediculous Hammer & Coop bolt thing down the side. But, a test drive is a test drive. The car wasn’t even close to what I am getting, so there are somethings I’m excited to see/experience.
My thoughts…
- NOTHING about the exterior of this car bothers me (unless the arches are painted, more on that later). The door handles, under the bonnet, the boot, the belt line. All good.
- The interior is good. I really like the center stack (I don’t get how the rest of you think it looks ‘cheap’), the feel of the materials and overall layout.
- The car I drove had blue tooth and I can say I don’t like the factory armrest.
- The placement of the sport and ASC buttons suck. Especially since I feel that sport button will be getting quite a bit of use (more on that later).
- The seats are awesome, as is the telescoping steering wheel
- Did someone say torque steer? Wow. That’s going to take some getting used to.
- upper toggles = very cool
Since the 25th actually.
4 weeks to the day is the Sunday before AMVIV.
Man, it’s gonna be close!
I log into the OL this morning to see the status updated to awaiting transport!
Figure I might as well make it all the way official (eventhough I still haven’t heard back from the bank).
