There’s Your My Problem

It looks a little something like this.

Drivers side. I hope I can get it fixed and not have to replace the axel. Those things are expensive!

Finally!

Click Click Click click CRACK!

[rolls to a stop with car in gear, clutch out]

This can’t be good.

Updates to follow as they happen. Follow along at Twitter so you don’t miss a beat.

Update – getting her towed shortly, then will be investigating the problem. After texting with Mr. Detroit Tuned he thinks it might be the axle. More to follow.

I get to drive this

Just a quick note during the holiday break to let you guys and gals know that, every morning, I get to drive this circle of double-apex good ness.

I mention this now because during the holiday, traffic has been light and more than once I’ve been able to take this particular section of road at speed. Yes, even in my MINI with 222k miles on the odometer and busted suspension, I can still double apex this turn.

If you are in Southern California, it’s where interstate 15 (northbound) intersects with SR60 (westbound). Try it at night too. It’s quite a bit of fun!

Normal service will resume in 2010. In the meantime, a few of us will still be posting to Twitter with some frequency and you might catch something funny, or not, over at w(t)f.
