My Day with the MF Countryman

Last weekend I posted about my day with the Motoringfile Countryman at MotoringFile. Since I’m sure it’s moved to page 2 by now, I wanted to share with you here.


On October 21, 2011, I finally got the chance to drive the what is possibily the most argued about MINI ever created; The MINI Countryman. The MotoringFile long-term tester, in a drive from Chicago to Detroit, where we where celebrating Woofcast 400. (Read on…)

Live from SEMA

Oh boy. Those crazy gear heads will do just about anything for attention at SEMA. Case in point, this specimen sent in by Fireball Tim.

Have to wonder about handling with that much weight over the front wheels. No need to wonder about straight line acceleration if I had to guess.

Bushings and Mounts

Big day for Roxy today. Let’s start with this.

I tried to catch it at 254,000 on the dot, but I was moving. Safety first!

This happened almost immediately after I picked her up from a visit to Jerry over at Eurotechs. Today he replaced the passenger-side axle and motor mounts. I say mounts because I went ahead and had all 3 replaced. Yes, 3. Two on the engine, one one the transmission. But you already knew that. (Read on…)
