Just a quick note during the holiday break to let you guys and gals know that, every morning, I get to drive this circle of double-apex good ness.
I mention this now because during the holiday, traffic has been light and more than once I’ve been able to take this particular section of road at speed. Yes, even in my MINI with 222k miles on the odometer and busted suspension, I can still double apex this turn.
If you are in Southern California, it’s where interstate 15 (northbound) intersects with SR60 (westbound). Try it at night too. It’s quite a bit of fun!

Love that transition though I’ve never got the whole thing to myself… :-( I’m going to head out Wednesday AM and “Hit That”!

Also, I will say this… onetime a fellow in a Hummer led me through this at an amazing speed for that vehicle… hum I wonder if it was Robby Gordon trying out his DAKAR sled?

Interesting RB. I’ve never seen a Hummber take any corner at speed, let alone this transition. Usually it’s big rigs with 40′ trailers. Those fellas can’t make it through quite that fast.
Thanks for the comment!

Me neither so I’m either really slow or he was very good. Can you call this a double apex? It almost seems like its continuous but my driving experiences come from off road not asphalt.

OOh that looks like FUN! Sometimes I will go a little slower at the beginning to leave enough space between me and the car infront so I can have even more fun! ;)
