Wow! been busy, but here’s the latest… Transmission noise keeps getting worse. The cool thing is that at freeway speeds, Roxy sounds like an S. She goes in on Tuesday for a replacement. Brakes are about fully seated and working great! Big meet tomorrow…I can’t wait!
it’s bad news
So, I get Roxy in this morning right away. My SA drives around the block, can barely hear the noise. The one of the MINI techs at Crevier, Shane, gets in and drives it all over the place, with a sad look on his face. Ugh, not good. "Gotta get it up on the lift" …
uh oh! A new noise
This just started this morning. A sort of clacking/vibration noise that is coming from the front end. Only happens when moving and when in gear. It does not happen if coasting at the same RPM. Happens in all gears too. At higher speeds, it almost sounds like a humming noise coming from under the bonnet. …
brakes are done!
Just finished upgrading the rear brakes to Powerslot Rotors and EBC Greenstuff pads. I can barely report on them since I’ve driven less than 10 miles, but I can tell they made a HUGE difference! After 43K miles in a year, the rear pads were very worn. Passenger side inside pad has almost no pad …
