So, being one to jump on bandwagons, plus having a small interesting in radio, I have decided to try my hand at putting together a podcast.

You might be asking yourself; "Self, what is a podcast?" I could go into a long ramble here about them, but this from the Wikipedia is a little better:

Podcasting is a method of publishing files to the internet, often allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive new files automatically

In other words, it’s an RSS feed for audio.

You can use the newest version of iTunes or a program called iPodder (Win/Mac/Linux version available) to subscribe to the already thousands of podcasts available. Everything from ESPN to some local talk radio shows to the latest gear at Engadget. There are other programs, but these will get you started.

Well, might as well get started before I change my mind. I present to you, my very first first podcast. Just a short tour of my site to get started. Future episodes will have real information, I promise!

Go easy. It’s the first one. Of course, any input or criticism you may have is greatly appreciated!

I will post here with updates on ipodder and iTunes compatibility. Or, just click the link above. If you are podcast-savvy already, just go ahead and subscribe

Update – iPodder grabs the subscribtion. I have also publised to iTunes and will post back when it goes live there../update

  1. I guess I should have put that…anyway, it’s a 5:00 tour of my site.

Next time will be a real subject, but I had to start someplace

  2. So is this gonna be on the iTunes Top Downloads (excuse me, Top Podcasts) pretty soon?

Just teasing. Good effort. Keep it up! Happy Fourth!

  3. Nice work. I recorded a podcast a couple of months ago and never posted it anywhere. I’m still debating whether or not to try this on an ongoing basis.

Maybe we’ll start a new ring of MINI bloggers who also podcast. Hmmmmm…

I’m pretty sure you are the first MINI related podcast I’ve seen. Congrats. Keep it up.

  4. I’m shooting for once a week or bi-monthly, I haven’t decided yet. Maybe collaberation?????
