Almost there

Any takers on when I’ll hit 100k? Here’s what I’ve got coming up…

  • Home to Las Vegas on Monday. Approx. 250 miles
  • Las Vegas to Mom’s. Approx. 70 miles
  • Mom’s Home. Approx. 250 miles

Plus my normal 110 mile round trip from home to work.

I think about 3 weeks, which is 3 weeks after my initial estimate.

The good times are over!

Is it just me, or is anyone else noticing the sudden surge of Pontiac Aztecs and Buick Rendevous on the road lately? Seriously, I’ve seen 20 of these in the last 7 days, but probably more than that.

This is a disturbing trend to be sure, but at least they aren’t H3’s. That would give me the jibblies for sure.

Bonus points if you got the HomeStarRunner references

Update your Nav

Mark has the files and links to how-to’s to do this yourself.

I just updated both my MCSa and my sister’s MCC Navi with v26 of the firmware. The upgrade has changed the Navi so much. The color of the maps and detail is what it should have been. My hats off to those who created this update. I am hosting the upgrade on my site to help people who might want to upgrade their Navi. Please understand this is for the MKIV Navi system only. Meaning only for the DVD based system.

Looks pretty straight forward, but you will need WinZip or your archive utility of choice to extract the .rar file. Update your nav || Mark’s site

sneak peak

Earlier this week we read the press release about the new MINI drag car that Fireball Tim and his crew have been working on with MINIUSA.

Well, J/C has a sneak peak photo of it, you know, if you want to see what a 1700lb MINI looks like.
