So, finally put new brakes on Roxy yesterday. There’s good reason for this. First of all she was close to 40K miles. Secondly:
Yea, all four front pads looked just like this. ACK!
Went ahead and upgraded to EBC Greenstuff pads on the front only (rears come later)
This was by far the easiest brake job I have even done. Just in case, had a bit of help from my brother-in-law. The whole job took less than an hour to complete! Even switching out the rotors should be a snap as well. Plus it gave me the chance to clean the back of the wheels, which were totally black from all of the brake dust. But seriously, to remove the old pads (after the wheel was removed) took less than 5 minutes and required the loosening of 2 fasteners and a clip.
Then last night a whole bunch of SCMM’er got together at Frantones Pizza for a gtg. It was great to see all the old members and meet many of the new. Cyn even had her new PIAA lights installed:
