an update…for those of that are still interested in attending the Phil Wicks clinic at Willow Springs next weekend, the event has been cut short by 1 day. Seems not very many people want to spend Super Bowl Sunday on the track. So it is now being run only on Saturday. Click here for more information.
Comments OffSome SCMM Members went out to see what the gain from all of those mods are today. Some impressive numbers were posted…
Michael posted 160.9 in his stock ’05 MCS. I swear those eyes gave him the extra .9
Twin twin charged MINI’s.
Yes, both above are supercharged AND turbo charged. The cool silver one there? That is a stock MCS with a turbo. pulled 250HP at the wheels!
Paul put down a very respectable 169HP.
I did manage to snap off a few more pics and posted them in the gallery.
I had 1 more great picture to post, but it got deleted. Sorry Phil :D
For those of you wondering, yes Ortega Hwy is finally open again. I’ll be back to the normal 2 hour daily commute on Monday. I can’t wait!
Still haven’t gone in for service. I had to cancel my last 2 appointments, mostly because I could not be without the MINI those days. I have finally rescheduled for this coming Thursday. I can’t wait to find out what’s triggering the airbag light.
Watch soon for the next big mileage milestone (can I say that?). I’m about 3 weeks from hitting 80,000! I called this last month I believe that I would hit 80K miles before Roxy turns 2. I’ll do that with time to spare. I might be closer to 90K than 80K by that time.
I’ve got some other things in the works, but not for certain yet. Don’t worry, I’ll fill you in later. No really. I promise, just as soon as I’m done talkin’ to the good lads at Crevier

February 5th & 6th…Phil Wicks is finally coming to SoCal! With help from our good friends at Racerfactory.com the next event will be held on the big track at Willow Springs! This is open to all MINI & Mini’s, any preparation (yea, bring that trailered car out too!). Sign up here.
Having not done a PW event, but a few RF events, I’m sure this one, like the others will go off without a hitch! If you have ever wondered what your MINI will do on the track, this is the perfect opportunity! The instructors are great and the big track at Willow Springs should be fast!. Remember to that this isn’t racing, but instructional. If you are looking to make that 1 more mod, this is the best one you can do.
March 3rd – 6th…A MINI Vaction in Vegas II is happening is, you guessed it, LAS VEGAS! You should get over there pretty soon to get your room reserved at the awesome rate. I attended this last year and it was a blast! The best part was having 80+ MINI’s crusing the Las Vegas Strip. A definite great time that I highly recommend!
(7) commentsOver at Something Awful they have what they call ‘photoshop phriday”. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes not so much.
This weeks is actually pretty good. The subject was making things toy sized, mostly cars…

I think it’s kinda funky looking, but fun at the same time! If you check it out, be sure to find the hummer and the firetruck.
Thanks to jSchwa for pointing this out!
1 commentOk gang, completely not MINI related here, I just wanted to let you know.
I’m pretty sure that the only way you have of actually spamming my comments is to visit the site and manually enter you junk into the comment form. I’m sure you are just clicking submit and moving off to the next site.
I’m also pretty sure that after you visit you aren’t able to come back unless you find another open proxy to use. Pretty sneaky, but your spam still doesn’t show up.
All I’m saying is just save yourself the hassle and time with this one. Oh yea, you can pretty much skip any website that is powered by WordPress. Go and bug the blogger kids for change eh?
Oh yea, big SCMM birthday party last weekend. Guess who forgot their camera? Yea, the lad! :D Anyway, George and others did post some pics over at the SCMM Gallery. I’ve got more goodies to post, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.
