I know I know. I don’t post for a month then I post 2 within 12 hours of each other. This one is to serve as a friendly reminder that AMVIV is coming up sooner than you think. Click over to amviv.com for all of the details. Dates are March 26-29th.
I know some of you might be very much on the fence with it tilting dramatically toward the ‘not-going’ side due to the economy or something else. True, a weekend in Vegas isn’t cheap, even with the killer rates we get at Palace Station (that have been extended until the day of the event I believe), but isn’t it time to get away.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I spent more than half of 2008 unemployeed and still am. Yet I have managed to somehow squirrel away enough money to actually make this trip this year, including, if need be, renting a car.
There is still time to save a bit to go. Maybe go for just one night instead of the whole weekend? Only do 1 drive? Buy Todd well gin.
Like I said, I’m going. Todd will be there. Very good chance that Tequilla might be involved. Do you really want to miss that?

I think Teri and I will go. Major stumbling point right now is that I don’t seem able to book the special rate online and I don’t do phones.

Nothing wrong with calling. The reservation desk is very nice and quite efficient.
Turned out to be two problems – on the hotel page it lists the code as PCAMV9, it does not work (obviously). Then this morning I tried the real code and the prices were without the discount. I emailed Agro and he had them fix it. Bottom line, it works now and I think Teri and I will be there Thu through Sunday.
I’ll be there. Leaving Vancouver BC on Monday, and visiting relatives in Fullerton, CA. Driving to Las Vegas on Wednesday. I’m looking to see if there are any convoys going on Wednesday and join them on the drive to LV.
